Volunteer Opportunities

In June volunteers are needed to help inventory existing supplies at our Back to School warehouse. Groups of approx. 20+ volunteers help get the area ready for stuffing. (Not needed for 2017 Event)

In July, volunteers are needed to help prep and stuff the backpacks for the event.  There will be four opportunities to help between the hours of 9am to 3pm:

Volunteers are crucial to the success of this event!!  Dozens of volunteers are needed for inventory and backpack stuffing prior to the event. Over 150 volunteeres are utilized the day of the event and approx 50 volunteers are needed the day before the event for set-up.  Details of the assistance needed are listed below:

150+ volunteers must register to help in the event day.  Volunteer opportunities include:  Line Monitors, Non-Profit Area, Registration, Distribution, Runners, Guides (Spanish is helpful), Event Clean-up & Misc. Duties

Friday, July 21 "Day Before Event" volunteer opportunities are now available!

Transfer of 1,000 backpacks to event site is now available for Mon, July 10!

This volunteer opportunity is not for the faint of heart. Heavy lifting and physical activity in the hot Arizona sun is the mission of the day. Thousands of backpacks and supplies are loaded from our Back to School warehouse to the event site. There we set-up everything in anticipation of the next day. Supplies are unloaded, directional banners are secured, tables are set out and the following areas are set-up: backpacks by grade level, socks/underwear, uniforms, non-profit area, haircuts and shoes.
